Restorative and Pranayama (Breathing) are known to help lower blood pressure & heart rate; releases muscular tension; reduces fatigue; improves sleep and manages pain.
During the practice, you will experience the healing elements of hot/cold basalt stones, aromatherapy, Ayurveda inspired asanas (postures) and "hands-on" Reiki to help clear any blockages in the body where stress is often held.
Bolsters, blocks, blankets & eye pillows provided. Mats are available at no extra charge.
A guided meditation (Nidra) follows during Shavasana!
This practice has two teachers to assist & provide a deep luxurious experience that you will want more!
Mary will be joining me in a 90 minute gentle, yet challenging sequence of floor based YIN poses, with the added benefit of "hands-on" Reiki to aid in the recovery of injury, stress or to simply maintain range of motion.
YIN enhances the flow of prana (life force) in the tissues around the joints, where energy often stagnates. A practice that supports your organs, immune system and emotional well-being as one.
Postures are held for several minutes to aid in the release of muscular engagement. Surrending to gravity will allow the pose to adjust to your body, however props are available and encouraged so not to over-stress our fascia.
YIN yoga should be practiced two to three times a week to feel the effects, as it trains you to become more comfortable with the discomforts that life can throw your way!
